National Cultural Reform The goal of this reform was to create a new artistic identity for America that was independent from Europe. They dreamt of American becoming a Utopia, and the idea of romanticism appeared. Though some experiments to change the society they continued to try.

Education Reform The goal of the education reform was to make changes in both education and health States experienced expansion in public school growth with rich curriculums with new methods to teaching In the medical field, the Asylum movement occurred to house criminals and the mentally ill

Temperance Reform Mormons had the goal of having Americans limit the amount of alcohol they consumed People were not excited about this reform and tried to rebel as seen in the Smith jail break murder Salt Lake City was established as a city where Mormons could practice what they wished

Feminism Reform The goal of the Feminism reform was to express problems women faced in a male dominated society and to acquire equal rights among men and women The Women’s Rights Convention was where ideas of women gaining equality among men came up

Slavery Reform Abolitionists wanted to end slavery immediately at any costs. The result of their movement caused major friction between the North and South Fredrick Douglass was an advocator for anti-slavery, also novels like Uncle Tom’s Cabin showed a different side to slavery that many people tried to ignore
