3 What’s In It For Me? donate only what you feel comfortable donating keep your override income keep hostess benefits meet your quarterly minimums without spending any money grow your customer base and feed into income- generating activity give back to your community (true “Statement of the Heart” activity) easy to prep for — use Kits or very simple cards

4 What’s In It For Them? easy for a hostess to offer to her friends—she feels good & has fun too easy for hostess to get outside orders easy for hostess to invite all friends (rather than thinking it just has to be crafters) customers feel good about their purchases - everyone feels good helping others

5 3 Different Types of FUNdraisers “create for a cause” - a workshop (same day closing) “on-line fundraiser” - a book party “single unit fundraiser” - Paper Pumpkin (best for schools, etc)

6 Keys for Success you have to hostess coach & communicate—2015 style (it’s not 1990 anymore!) only keep orders open 2 weeks max let the “cause” know when they can expect check does not have to be 501(c)3/non-profit as you’re donating your income. it’s a marketing write-off for you (you wouldn't have met them otherwise) follow up every order from every fundraiser with a thank you note follow up every order 2 weeks post-event to see if they are using their stuff deliver order yourself so that you can include flyers about upcoming classes simplify, simplify, simplify and make it super easy for hostess so she’ll refer you set expectations up front about $$ (this is key!)

7 Start with a Mystery Hostess Invite 10 of your friends (do not have to be crafters/post on personal FB page) Orders = Charity Pull 1 order form = all $$ goes to that Cause IMPORTANT: follow up by phone/e-mail next day to all others who ordered and offer to do FUNdraiser for them!
