2 Who is Hewlett-Packard?  Hewlett-Packard, also know as HP, is an American information technology corporation, specializing in personal computers, notebook computers, servers, network management software, printers, digital cameras, and calculators, among other technology related products. 3 Who started it?  William Hewlett and David Packard  Started in 1939 but didn’t go public until 1957.  HP merged with Compaq in 2002.

4 Is HP a green company? Very much so! 1.HP recycles. All their machines are 100% recyclable. recycles 2.HP maintains several E-Waste recycling plants 3.HP has reduced their environmental footprint. 4.Developing ways to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. 5.HP plans to cut their energy consumption by 20% by 2010. 6.HP audits their suppliers to ensure eco-friendliness. 7.HP monitors are held to high recycling standards, certified for low emissions, and are compliant with ENERGY STAR qualified and most major international standards. 5 What else is HP doing?  HP is also funding a study on the effects of climate change on the wildlife and habitats of North America’s Bering Sea.  HP is working with the WWF (World Wildlife Foundation WWF  HP bought solar and wind power in 2007

6 In Conclusion  HP is a very energy conscious company that is going green to save and help preserve the earth!
