1. Chapter Three – Teaching Today #3 Software Products Being a special education teacher, I loved the fact that there was a question like this. I am really interested in finding some good, appropriate software that I can use with my students. One example of software that I already use and would be beneficial to regular education students as well is called Clicker 4.  Clicker 4 is a great writing program that helps students learn the proper method of writing. It is very interactive and can be beneficial for all types of students.

2. Chapter Three – Teaching Today Cont. Another example of software I am interested in learning more about is called Failure Free Reading. There are so many features in this software program that regular education students as well as special needs students can be met with ease.Failure Free Reading The Internet offers a wide variety of information on different types of software that is available and also connects you to various other links that can steer you in directions you may not have thought of to check.

4. Chapter Three – Educational Issues Cont. Ranked as most important for students to learn, I wrote word processing skills. I feel that this should be listed as most important because it is the type of computer software that I feel children will use the most in their lifetimes whether its for personal use in writing letters, or for professional use in writing business memos, etc. Knowing the proper ways to navigate through the Microsoft Word will allow students to firmly grasp the importance of writing skills. They will use this skill for writing term papers in school, through business information in the work force.

5. Chapter Three – Educational Issues Cont. Listed secondly, I chose presentation graphics. Microsoft Powerpoint is a wonderful tool that will add graphic detail to report information. Students can grow in their ability to use this tool so as to better a presentation in school or work setting. Third, I chose spreadsheets as being important so that students are capable of learning how to organize data and analyze it from a numerical form to a more visual sense. Fourth, educational software that teachers might suggest for students to learn reading strategies, or math skills improvement programs so as to increase student ability. Finally, I chose software for school use such as online encyclopedias and dictionaries I feel can be seen as somewhat important so that students know where to find answers independently while working on various school or work projects.
