3. Lucha Libre ‘Lucha libre’ is the name given to professional wrestling in Mexico. It means ‘free fighting’ and follows fewer rules than Greco-roman wrestling. It involves lots of ‘high- flying’ manoeuvres, quick movements and holds.

4. Lucha Libre The winners of most matches are predetermined and follow a soap opera style plotline. The wrestlers aren’t just men, women fight too. The competitions are split into weight categories, ‘Flyweight’ being the lightest and ‘heavyweight’ being the heaviest.

5. Luchadores The wrestlers are called ‘luchadores.’ They can fight individually or in tag teams. For a ‘luchador’ his most prized possession is his mask. Sometimes if a ‘luchador’ loses a match he must surrender his mask to his opponent

7. Mini - Estrellas Lucha Libre has a division called the "Mini-Estrella" or "Minis" division. This division is for people who are shorter in height than 5 feet tall.
