Circulatory and Respiratory Systems… Work together at all times. It is hard to learn one without the other. Many of the organs are the same in each system. The Circulatory System is the body system responsible for moving blood rich in nutrients and oxygen around the body and returning it to the heart

Video killed the heart… jk If you have questions about the heart during this video, please write them down on a scratch piece of paper. I’m NOT going to be answering these questions until a little later, but I promise we will get to it! This video is graphic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE8KwAbLctk&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE8KwAbLctk&feature=related

The Circulatory System !!!!!
9
Function The circulatory system delivers oxygen and nutrients to cells and removes waste from cells. the waste product? Blood moves these materials to and from our body parts. The heart pumps the blood.
10
4 Parts 1.heart pumps the blood. 2.lungs give blood oxygen. 3.blood vessels are tubes that carry blood. 4.blood carries oxygen & nutrients to body cells.
11
HEART: Muscular organ that pumps blood all around the body. Has FOUR chambers Made up of cardiac muscle Parts of the Circulatory System
12
LUNGS: The organ responsible for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide is your lungs and breathe out carbon dioxide (waste) from the body. Parts of the Circulatory System
13
BLOOD VESSELS: the series of tubes within the body which transport for our circulatory system There are 3 types of blood vessels: arteries, veins, capillaries Parts of the Circulatory System
14
BLOOD: a fluid in the body which delivers nutrients and oxygen to the body as well as removes carbon dioxide and other wastes types of cells that sit in a liquid called plasma Parts of the Circulatory System Wednesday: Heart and Blood Stations
