Come from Long Island Mother was a 1 st generation American Working class family: every spare dollar my dad made went to our education First person in my family to go to college Scholarships made it possible for me to attend undergraduate and graduate school I worked a variety of jobs to pay for expenses, some not so glamorous

There are five paths you can take after high school ** (in no particular order): 1. Straight to work 2. Technical School 3. Military Unit 4. 2 Year College 5. 4 Year College or University **Different skills and requirements for each path**
