DVD/CD Everyday we constantly use DVD’s to play movies, and CD’s to rip to our phones. Do you know what they are made of?

DVD’S/CD’S DVD’s are made of a material called Bauxite ore which is a substance called aluminum. This Aluminum comes from Canada, China, Australia, India, Brazil, and Russia They wash, crush, dissolve, furnish, and harness the material. Aluminum goes through a processed called smelting. This process shapes the metal and rolls it up to a cast.

DISC They both use plastic resources. Plastic is made from crude oil from the ground that is combined with Nekton gas and other chemicals in the manufacturing or processes plant

DISC They use another type of plastic called polycarbonate plastic Polycarbonate is made from crude oil and natural gases extended from the earth.

DISC Another plastic that is used called lacquer Lacquer is made of acrylic

OTHER RESOURCES & QUESTIONS Other resources used are things such as : gold and dyes Gold is a metal that is formed from the center of the earth. Dyes are chemicals made in a laboratory partially from petroleum that come from the earth Is all Aluminum made of bauxite ore ?
