Manor Care Conclusion eThanks to everyone who went to play Bingo/read with the elderly last Saturday, December 12th! eThe staff and residents really enjoyed our company and told me that anyone can come back at their leisure eKristen is going back this Saturday give cookies and a card from our club, so if any of you would like to join her, see her after the meeting!

6. Canned Goods/Shoeboxes eIf you brought in canned goods you can get hours dHave your 1st period teacher sign off on however many cans you brought in dOR He/She can email Dr. C eIf you participated in Shoeboxs for Seniors, you can also get your hours by having your teacher sign off!

7. Coalition of Giving eThis project is the collaboration of our club with student government to make a BIG difference for one family eThe family is a mom and 3 teenage boys, but the family is really needy and could use any sort of help (see next slide) eHave your items turned in by Thursday, December 17th! dPlease drop your toy off at Dr. C’s room!

8. Coalition of the Giving CONTINUED eBring in: dMoney dA family-friendly game dMOM: new shoes and perfume dALL 3 BOYS (Ages 13,16,&17): need- jackets and socks want- bike, guitar, PS games eWe know you cannot provide the big ticket items, so money donations could go toward those purchases.

9. Eco-Green Fundraiser eSo far we collected 60 items! dThanks to Celeste, Kylie, Danielle P., Jamie, Jen, Ashley, and Allyssa for donating! dOur total, not including unlisted items, is around $40 so far eReminder: this is free money for our club eKeep bringing in old cell phones, ink cartridges, cameras, and metal jewelry!

10. Relay Fundraising eThank you for everyone who joined us on our mission to raise money around Sarasota last meeting! eEach group made well over $100! Congratulations! eThose who did not participate are responsible to raise money by themselves. Go around to businesses and ask for a donation… we need this to reach our club’s goal for Relay this year! We have personal donation sheets for you all!

11. More Fundraising Ideas eOur club always needs fundraisers, especially with Relay for Life coming up in April… eKristen’s cookies! dKristen has been baking cookies and selling them at school (3 cookies = $1)! dShe has already made $50, and only putting in $20 for supplies! That means she is already half way to her $100 for Relay. Good job! eYou can do something similar, or anything else you can think of. It is a way to make your Relay donation money and reach your goal without trying too hard!

12. Celebrating Wellness Festival eThis is our January project! eIt will be on January 9, 2010 eFor those of you who remember these, the Wellness Festival is set up like Arts Day or the Reading Festival dThere are several choices (with different times) that you can pick. I advise that you get on it now, because many will not get their first pick… You can sign up with Kylie after the meeting- we have a sign-up sheet that tells you all of your choices! eMake sure you sign up before you leave!

13. January Social eWe are going to have a social event in January, courtesy of Kara, our social director! ePossible choices are: dMini-golf dIce skating dMovies eWe are voting right now, so if you have any other activities you would like to do, please speak up! dWe are trying to select something we all want to do so that we are all there!

14. February Carwash eTo warn everyone: we are having a carwash in February! eIt will be here at SHS in the 41 parking lot eWe will provide more details on this, such as times and shifts, at a later meeting in January dIf you feel you want or need the times right now, please talk to Dr. C after the meeting

15. Miscellaneous! eMany people (especially seniors!) are starting to ask about getting Dr. C to sign off on their hours from this club. We have completed hour logs from last year and for everything we have done so far this year. See Kylie for the log and show Dr. C your name and she will sign! ePlease make sure to get a holiday card &a candy cane!
