2. Legalmaster Remote Transaction Data Entry Module Summary This Legalmaster module is intended to let you keep track of your time, period. Over the years we have added other capabilities to it, primarily in response to demand, but the core of the software remains time capturing. The following screens walk you through the basics. You might find it useful to have your Legalmaster Remote software open while you peruse this tutorial.

5. You may tell Legalmaster how you prefer to select your matters. Click Options. Then click “Select by.” Choose your preference. This setting is permanent unless you change it. It’s also station-specific; each user may select a different preference.

11. Description entry hint Type an equal sign (=) as the first character of a transaction description to repeat the previous transaction’s description.

12. Once you have completed your transaction you must save it. Either click the Save button or hit Alt-S. This puts the transaction in your “batch.” You may store as many transactions in a batch as you wish. Click “View Batch” (Alt-V) to see what you’ve entered so far or to alter any of the transactions in your batch.

15. If you try to alter a transaction whose timer was running when you saved it, you’re given the option of restarting the timer where it left off.

24. This one’s fairly self explanatory. Just select any month of any year.

25. Here you see how many hours you’ve entered for each day of the month, billable, non-billable and total.

26. Click any of the days on the calendar and then click the OK button. What results is the detail of the fees that occurred on those dates.
