2. 2 What is ´Advocacy´? “Advocacy means actively supporting something or someone (an idea, action, or person) and attempting to persuade others of the importance of that cause. Advocacy is often a group effort focused on changing particular public policies”

3. 3 For example you advocate for… Better legislation on drink-driving Lower speed limits around schools More youth involvement etc. A declaration is a tool, never a goal on itself

4. 4 About declarations A declaration is helpful to align a group and to focus on three or four shared points A declaration can give you a great entry at all levels A declaration is as good as the implementation of it: o Many resolutions and declarations are written and barely used again after adoption
