CMC meeting, 23 October, 2008 Page 4 Promotion of Transfer Service utilization JAXA established SLE connection with KSAT to utilize Svalbard Station via TSX (Tsukuba SLE GW for X-support) for LEOP and routine support of GOSAT mission. JAXA is coordinating with ESA on SLE connection for emergency cross support of Envisat and ERS-2 under new GW configuration between JAXA and ESA. Extension of Transfer Service function JAXA is implementing RCF service function to TSX both for provider-side and user-side. CSS Implementations

CMC meeting, 23 October, 2008 Page 5 Service Management interoperability validation JAXA will upgrade SCCS-SM service-user prototype (Red-1 → Red-2.1 compliant) for interoperability test with JPL SCCS-SM service-provider prototype. New network planning system New network planning system is in the preliminary design phase. This system will integrate current GN and SN planning system and establish seamless connections with other agencies referring to SLE-SM specification. CSS Implementations

CMC meeting, 23 October, 2008 Page 6 CCSDS WG Status (CSS and SEA) CSS/SM WG JAXA coordinated SCCS-SM (R-2.1) interoperability validation with JPL. Proposed test configuration and schedule had once be accepted, but the validation may be cancelled to focus Blue Book-1 release. CSS/CSA WG JAXA chairs the WG and starts developing Service Architecture Magenta Book based on the IOAG’s White book. SEA/DDOR WG JAXA joined WG review of draft DDOR Magenta Book and coordinates DDOR interoperability validation among ESA/JPL/JAXA. JAXA will draft a part of DDOR Raw Data Exchange Format Blue Book and DDOR Green Book.

CMC meeting, 23 October, 2008 Page 9 A/I response about SANA CMC-A-2008-06-4 Each agency is tasked to investigate on: 1.Potential to fund and host the entire operations of SANA within its agency. 2.Whether each agency is able to contribute funding to operate the SANA functions under the existing secretariat support contract. JAXA response JAXA will support to resolve SANA issue. In the prioritized work categories of SANA WG charter, Category 1 is a “must”, but Category 2 to 4 are “betters”. All member agency agreed mechanism should be needed. –Category 1: SCIDs and SFDU CA –Category 2: protocol IDs, port IDs, reserved APIDs, etc. –Category 3: XML schema and namespaces, etc. –Category 4: information models, reference software, etc.
