Native Americans were trying to push back the flood of Colonist moving to the West. Pontiac’s War: Under Pontiac, Native Americans attack the British forts and settlements. Over 2000 settlers were killed Colonist settlers in response started killing all Native Americans even those who did not attack the settlers. Eventually British troops destroy Pontiac’s troops but the tension continues
