2 Project Definition The goal of this project is to build a database application to store nutritional GCRC information.

3 Current System Involves many different computer programs Excessive filing and paper work Hand calculations Tedious Only System implemented

6 Action Plan Phase 1 Continually learning the applications of Microsoft Access © Learning the functionality of the Bionutrition Office and Metabolic Kitchen Beginning to design database template Process of adapting old system to new system

7 Action Plan Phase 2 Interacting with CRC personel to produce most effective user interfaces Developing Forms and Queries that work with our completed data Debugging

8 Action Plan Phase 3 Complete basic functional model of the NutrFlowSys ® by national GCRC meeting Implement secondary features Try to set up and run in the Vanderbilt University GCRC

9 Project Significance 10,000 meals served a year in the Vanderbilt GCRC Saves a number of man hours and paper (undetermined) Average amount of work put in per week = 10 hours

11 Scheduled Meetings Meet at least three times a week with Dr. Harris Frequently meet with Jennifer Redmon and the rest of the GCRC staff
