Communication Communication- Coaches E-mail addresses can be found on the team website. Please help us instill in your daughter the importance of communicating with the coaches. We should already know of potential conflicts ( at least 2 weeks in advance, May is 100% track time ) (written communication is required for scheduling conflicts**).

Practice Practice is from 3:15-5:30pm daily. Girls should not be leaving early. Lifting: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:40-5:30pm (throwers lift Tuesday and Thursday mornings, jumpers lift right after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays) Training Room- Coaches will determine if athletes need to see the trainer or not, and they are not allowed to go to the training room without permission from a coach unless its an emergency.

Practice (continued) We have been talking to the girls about the importance of good nutrition. Athletes should wear appropriate shoes and clothes & be prepared with practice gear for all kinds of weather. Athletes must lock up their valuables in their locker- THEY ARE NOT TO LEAVE THEIR LOCKER OPEN DURING PRACTICE!! Read Track & Field Cautionary Statement

Meets Athletes must attend the last four periods of school to compete in that day’s meet. All athletes should Warm-Up and Cool-Down together at meets Must take the team bus to and from meets- Athletic Department Policy Other meet information- Parents are not allowed on the infield

Meets (continued) Indoor Meets- March 1, 5, & 12- only bring about 20-25 girls to these meets; March 19- only top 24 in state Outdoor Meets- Everyone competes in dual/triangular meets; Saturday Invitationals- only 20-25 girls (similar to indoors) Senior Night- Friday, April 29 th at HSE Final JV Meet- JV Invitational- Thurs, May 5 Varsity- State Tournament starts Tues, May 17

Meet Day Expectations Wear team-issued singlets only Required Apparel- Team T-Shirt, Sweatpants, Sweatshirt, Shorts Shoes Appropriate conduct for athletes and parents Be prepared for all weather Attendance is mandatory at all home meets and all applicable away meets (meets at HSE) No Cell Phones at Meets Read Track & Field Cautionary Statement

Volunteering and Fees Meet Snacks Senior Night & Banquet (Tuesday, June 7 th ) Help Meet Workers/Concession Help Bring a Case of Water (with name) by next Friday We need a couple of people to work high jump at the Oriole Indoor Classic Meet (Sat, March 14 th ) We need someone to serve as a back-up timer at the Southport Relays Meet (Sat, April 25 th ) PSF Reminder- due Monday February 29 th - Turn it in early!!

Booster Club and Team Fees Girls Track Team Booster Club Every Athlete will pay a team fee of $30 Make the check out to TigerONE Mrs. O’Leary- TigerONE & Booster Club representative Ms. Gugel- Garage & Locker Signs, Senior Night, Banquet Other Parent Volunteers Money will be used for: – Equipment (1/8” spikes, indoor shot, pole vault poles, etc.) – Senior Night Costs (Senior Gifts, Dessert, Decorations, etc.) – Magnetic Locker Signs – Wish List (Track Record Board, New Mats, etc.) – End of Season Results Book – Other Possible Uses for Team Fees
