There is a lot of emotion in idioms. Here is a list of what types there can be. Silly Mad Serious These are some emotions you use when you use idioms. But be careful of what you say!

Example Meaning Picture You are bouncing of They are very energetic The walls! And crazy. My nose is running. They have allergies and they keep on sniffling. Can you lend me a hand? They need help getting up or need help doing work. It’s a tongue twister! When they say it fast, its hard to say. I changed my mind. They are planning to do the opposite of something.

An idiom is expression consisting a combination of words that have a figurative meaning. Sometimes its hard to explain the meaning of an idiom because you say it so much, you never new the meaning!

At school, or at any other place, you use tons of idioms, and you don’t even notice! Once you listen to what your saying, and focus on what an idiom is, you will notice of what your saying!
