3. NAF Data Submission Workshop 2010 Institute NAF’s Data Center What is it? The Data Center is NAF’s online repository for your academy’s vital statistics. Why does NAF need your data? Just as your principal or superintendent or state education department needs numbers, NAF needs them also. How is your data used? NAF uses your data to leverage resources and program support. Who is responsible for data submission? The academy director is responsible. 3

4. NAF Data Submission Workshop 2010 Institute What can your data do for you? How does a director get data to NAF? Directors or their designees enter data into NAF’s Online Data Center. Who else can submit the data? Directors may designate any team member to enter data. When is data due? In 2010 your data will be due no later than November 19. 4

MyNAF Login Instructions The sign on allows NAF network members to have one username and password which they can set themselves to access the DataCenter, the Collaboration Network, and the NAF curriculum. Are you already a NAF Network Member? 1.If you are an Academy Director your NAF Regional Manager has already created an account for you with a username and password. 2.If you do not already have a NAF Network account, you must create one. 5

NAF Data Submission Workshop 2010 Institute Usernames and Passwords Your customized Account: 1.Spaces are allowed; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores. 2.Key in your e-mail address—If you currently have access to the NAF Curriculum site and/or the Data Center, you must use the same email address that is on file in the NAF Data Center to maintain access. If you are not the Academy Director check with the director. 3.Key in personal information as indicated 4.Click on: Create new account at bottom of page 5.You should receive an e-mail with a temporary password that will be active for only 24 hours, so you should log in right away using this provided password. You will then need to create your own password. 7
