Stars in Circles – Let’s Play! Each pair will receive a packet with: 2 different color dice, 2 numbered sheets of paper, and directions. The person whose birthday is up next rolls both dice. The white die will be the number of circles and the colored die will be the number of stars. Each group has numbers they are not to use. If you roll that number, roll that die again. Place the “stars” in each circle. Write the number sentences: –Ex: 3 groups of 2 stars equal 6 stars or 3 x 2=6 Show another way based on the book and the Smart Board presentation to figure it out. Use your number line worksheet also. Share with your partner and check.
