ROCK CYCLE BY: EDMUND, JORDY, AND AVERY youtube.com
3
We are about to show you the rock cycle and how igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks are formed.
5
How Igneous rocks are formed. They are formed either in the inside or the outside layers.
6
METAMORPHIC Metamorphic rocks are formed by changing from sedimentary or igneous rock and it changes by so much pressure pushing down on it.
7
SEDIMENTARY Sedimentary rocks are formed by erosion and weathering they are also pushed down rivers and lakes and oceans when they reach the bottom, and layer after layer and then they get pushed down on each other until rocks start slowly forming.
8
HOW ROCK FORM INTO OTHER ROCKS Igneous rock can turn into a metamorphic rock by heat and pressure.
9
SEDIMENTS Sediments are rocks that are carried by weathering and erosion. Examples water, ice and wind.
10
MAGMA Magma is hot fluid or semifluid inside the earths crust that can create igneous rocks when it cools.
11
WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED Igneous rocks are found around volcanoes. Sedimentary rocks are found near ocean floors. Metamorphic rocks are found under mountains and near mountains.
12
WHAT THE ROCKS ARE USED FOR Igneous rocks are used for road building and building offices and banks. Sedimentary rocks are used for household items and utensils. Metamorphic rocks are used for floors, roofs, and making monuments.
