1. Hymn 59 Unto God I Lift My Voice

2. Verse 1 Unto God I lift my voice; unto Him I cry;

3. In the day my trouble comes, then I seek my God.

4. In the night I do not cease; I am overwhelmed;

5. I remember God and moan, never close my eyes.

6. Verse 2 I consider days of old, years of ancient times;

7. I commune with mine own heart, search and meditate.

8. Will the Lord cast off His love, and no more be kind?

9. Is this now my lot and trial? Will His kindness fail?

10. Verse 3 Has the Most High strength no more? Has His promise failed?

11. Then I think of His great works, muse on wonders old.

12. I will talk of His great deeds; who is great like God?

13. God’s true way is holiness, far removed from sin.

14. Last Verse By God’s mighty arm and strength, Israel was saved;

15. Then the waters of the seas saw and did obey.

16. Clouds poured forth and light-nings flashed; thunders rent the skies;

17. Whirlwinds shook the earth below; God so led His flock.
