A solution that can serve the needs of other Commission Directorates looking for knowledge sharing and collaboration capabilities (in close collaboration with DIGIT in that respect) or that can be offered as a software distribution that can be re- deployed by EU Member States and partners; The project is in line with the multiple simplification and rationalisation exercises both in DEVCO and Commission wide, in which capacity4dev plays an important role, both consolidating multiple platforms, websites and communities of practice in a common knowledge sharing space as well as offering generic tools and capabilities to other DGs; The improvement of the platform will allow delivering on management expectations and commitments taken at the level of the "knowledge and learning development strategy" and the "Internal communication action plan" approved by management respectively in November 2014 and July 2014. These commitments include concrete actions and functionality to support knowledge sharing, learning and improving internal communication;
