12 Non- Renewable vs. Renewable Resources Non-Renewable Resources- does not renew itself quickly Renewable Resources- can replenish itself over a shorter period of time

14 Green Revolution A large increase in crop production in developing countries due to new agricultural techniques. ***Helped save over one billion people from starvation

15 Oil Spills A release of oil in the environment, especially marine areas, due to human activity. A form of pollution.

16 WHO World Health Organization An agency of the United Nations concerned with improving the health of the world’s people and preventing or controlling communicable diseases on a worldwide basis through various projects and programs.
