2. 2 Background Zithromax  (Azithromycin) has been approved in the United States with a 5-day dosing regimen. –Adults: Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis (AECB), Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis, Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP), and Uncomplicated Skin and Skin Structure (SSSI) Infections
