Driving force to go green Globalization has facilitated the spread of technologies that have contributed to dramatic improvements in health, life expectancy and literacy in poor countries. MNC pays a wage premium Life expectancy doubles in countries like China Regions lacking MNCs have worse child labor Worse child labor rates and the smallest reduction Provide very competitive environment Low wages for long hours Abuse of workers Government doesn’t care for workers No regulation Pollution due to factories – ex. China No relationship between the price of a product and the wages paid No health benefits

Gives wages to people who didn’t have jobs Allows people to work longer hours Obtains some kind of employment Spread “Green” technologies African and Asian child labor rates dropped Poor make more money working for MNC than companies in their own countries. Exploits poor people in less developed countries Globalization creates higher inequality Poverty and inequality spreads rapidly Does not follow child labor laws Larger MNC make it harder for local companies to compete Increase in the degradation of forestry Labor laws don’t apply to MNC in less developed countries

Globalization is the ….(definition) With the increase of Multinational Corporations which spread the development and wealth of products, technology, and services to less developed countries, there has been an increasingly more positive impact than negative. Globalization and MNCs positively impact the world in the areas of national economic stability, personal wealth improvement, and increased health and life expectancy.
