2 Daily Benchmarks: DAY 1 Read your historical figure’s biography Answer questions in the Information Handout Prepare rough bio for your figure (type written). Remember to include at least two major topics for his/her perspective.

3 Daily Benchmarks: DAY 2 Read all historical figures’ biographies Complete INFORMATION CHART on views on Expansion Begin to create arguments, work on introductory statements for your perspective

4 Daily Benchmarks: DAY 3 Assemble in group of similar perspectives Organize information and begin to create POSTER Complete COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS Work on figure mask

5 Daily Benchmarks: DAY 4 Discuss questions for opposition Finish POSTER and PRINT Type arguments Work on predicting questions the opposition will ask (and how you will answer them

6 Daily Benchmarks: DAY 5 Present POSTER Clarify all questions that may be asked of you (at least 5) Organize questions that you will be asking (at least 5) Prepare rough bio for your figure (type written). Remember to include at least two major topics for his/her perspective.

7 Daily Benchmarks: DAY 6 DEBATE! Wear masks of your historical figure Have type written materials available: (1)Answers to “Stop and Discuss questions”, (2)INFORMATION CHART, (3)Comprehension questions and (4) Arguments, Answers and Questions
