Quadrilateral Def: a 4 sided polygon. or ‘ a figure with 4 sides and 4 angles’ **The SUM of the 4 angles must equal 360º** Examples: square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, parallelogram

Parallelogram Def: a quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides congruent and parallel. Examples: square, rectangle, rhombus,

Square Def: a parallelogram with 4 right angles and 4 congruent sides

Rectangle Def: a parallelogram with 4 right angles Examples: square, or rectangle

Rhombus Def: a parallelogram with 4 congruent sides Examples: square, or rhombus

Trapezoid Def: a quadrilateral with only 1 pair of parallel sides. *none of the sides have to be congruent* Examples:
