Ecosystem- the interaction between living and non-living factors in an area. Some examples of different ecosystems are ponds, forests, rivers, deserts, etc.

Ecosystem-the interaction between biotic and abiotic factors in an area. Biotic - everything that is living, or that was living at some point, in an ecosystem. Abiotic - everything that is non-living in an ecosystem.

Biotic or Abiotic? REMEMBER!! Even if something is not alive now, if it was alive at some point then it is BIOTIC!!
