Photosynthesis
2
What is photosynthesis? Photosynthesis may sound like a big word, but it's actually pretty simple. You can divide it into two parts: – "Photo" is the Greek word for "Light," and "synthesis," is the Greek word for "putting together," which explains what photosynthesis is. It is using light to put things together. http://photosynthesisforkids.com/

Plants need to eat, too Plants use photosynthesis to make their food They eat a type of sugar called glucose Since plants can’t move around to get food they stay in one spot
4
Parts of photosynthesis In order for plants to “eat” they need three things to create their food: – Light (normally from the sun) which provides energy – Water that they absorb through their roots – Carbon dioxide (a gas in our air). They breathe this in like humans breathe in oxygen. Can also be written as CO2
5
Photosynthesis creates.. When plants have sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide they create two different things: – Oxygen (another gas) which animals need to breathe – Glucose, the sugar that they use as food
