Characters PPoppy is one of the main characters, along with Ereth, Mr. Ocax, Lungwort, Basil, Sweet Cicely, Ragweed, and George the Cat.

Antagonist The Antagonist is a Great Horned Owl named Mr. Coax

Conflict The Conflict of this story is that Mr. Ocax won’t let Poppy and her family move to New House.

Climax The Climax of Poppy is when she is battling Mr.Ocax

Point of view The point of view is poppy, and sometimes Mr. Ocax.

Foreshadowing An example of foreshadowing in Poppy is, Then she drew the quill out a few times to see if it came out free easily. Though a single quill was not the full arsenal that Ereth carried, it was something. She only hoped she’d never have to use it.

Simile SSimiles in Poppy. EEXAMPLE: His quills racked across her belly like a rust comb. TThis is a Simile because it compares his quills to a rusty comb using the words Like, or As.

Onomatopoeia Onomatopoeia in Poppy EXAMPLE: The silence was broken by a sharp tapping. This is onomatopoeia because tapping is a sound.
