1. 17 - Failed liberator becomes successful missionary (1) 1 One day … Moses saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people … he killed the Egyptian … The next day he … saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked … ‘Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?’ The man said, ‘Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?’ Then Moses was afraid … fled … and went to live in Midian (Ex. 2:11-14)

2. 17 - Failed liberator becomes succcessful missonary (2) 2 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? (Ex. 3:9-11)

But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin and touched [Moses’] feet with it … So the Lord let him alone (Ex. 4:24-26)
