8 Federal Roads Office FEDRO Traffic Management in Switzerland8 Competencies with NFA 1.1.2008 Confederation (NRA) is responsible from 1.1.2008 for:  Traffic control, management and guidance on NR  Traffic management centre (TMC) at national level for NR  Traffic data collection and harmonisation at national level  Traffic data interlocking and exchange at national level  Standardized traffic information centre (TIC) at national level  Standardized ITS applications on NR, based on EU/CEN norms  Implementation of the ITS concept 2012 at national level on NR. Cantons still responsible for:  Traffic control, management and guidance on cantonal roads and other roads relevant to TM on the national roads NR  Traffic enforcement
