8 PICK-UP PROCEDURES Evening Pick Up Procedures: Children must be personally checked out from the afternoon program. Either the parent or approved person designated by the parent must come into the building and sign out the child. No child will be released to a person under the age of 18 without a notarized waiver of liability, and we will not release your child to any person other than a parent or person authorized on the application. Children will not be allowed to wait for parents outside. They will be allowed to walk home only if the parent submits a notarized letter of release to the Site Director. The program closes promptly on time. If you are more than 20 minutes late without notification, we will contact the appropriate law enforcement agency for assistance with your child. Emergencies do happen occasionally, so please contact our staff immediately to make arrangements for your child. If anyone other than the parent or authorized persons must pick up your child, you MUST notify the site director in writing. While we do not expect you to be late picking up your child, we will dismiss her/him from the program upon the 3 rd late pick up.

9 DISCIPLINARY BEHAVIOR We are committed to providing a pleasant, safe environment for all participants, and we strongly believe in positive reinforcement and problem-solving. Please cooperate with us by stressing to your child the importance of good behavior and and the importance of following all rules, regulations, and procedures established by the staff. You will be notified by the site director or program director if a problem occurs and will be required to sign an acknowledgement of our contact with you. We know you will work with us and your child to resolve any issues. However, because enrollment is so limited and we have a long waiting list, on the third (3 rd ) occurrence, your child will be dismissed from the program and placed on the waiting list.

10 ATTENDANCE Regular attendance is required. Afternoon students must stay until 5:00- 5:15 p.m. Any absences should be approved by the Director such as ball practice, gym classes, etc) Three unexcused absences and the student will be dismissed from the program.

11 If your child needs to ride the bus home one day, I need a note from you BEFORE they may get on the bus. This is to ensure that you know that they are going home.
