Rebuilding your walls Lesson 3 : Deciding on a plan
2
Bishop T. D. Jakes, in his book, Maximize The Moment “Without a plan, there is no target to aim for. We are shooting arrows into the woods haphazardly, content to empty our quiver without any return. Yet, the wise hunter does not waste arrows; he patiently observes, learns and plans. Planners take careful aim and are rewarded by piercing the heart of their quarry. They strike the bull’s-eye because they keep their eyes on the prize and plan diligently.”

Proverbs 16:1-3 “The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, but the LORD weighs the motives. Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established.”

Things to watch out for we making your plan Check your Motives : Why am I doing this? Is it about me or about others? Check your Message (What Am I Saying?) : Do I say one thing to one person and something else to another? What is the message of my life? Others? or Self? Am I a giver or a taker? Check your Methods : Am I always the same? Do I throw a tantrum when things don’t go my way? Do I manipulate others to get my way? Do I use others or empower them?
