VOCABULARY Trade networks: A system of people in different lands who trade goods. Import: Goods brought in by other regions. Export: Items sent to other regions. Trade routes: Paths followed by traders. Delta: A triangle shaped area of land made of soil deposited by a river. Pharaoh: The title used by the rulers of Egypt. After Life: Life after death. ( Delta to Right )

GEOGRAPHY Ancient Egypt was famous for it’s colossal pyramids. The pyramids provided a tourist attraction and brought in money. Ancient Egypt was centered around the Nile river. The Nile provided water,transportation, fertile crops and more. Ancient Egypt was also home to the Sahara desert ( Nile River to Right )

KING TUT ( KING TUTS TOMB TO RIGHT ) Became pharaoh when he was 12 years old. Ruled for 9 years until his death in 1322 B.C. Faced a decision when he was twelve years old. He had to decide weather to open the shrines of Osiris and the other gods that King Akhenaton had closed.

CONTRIBUTIONS OF ANCIENT EGYPT The Ancient Egyptians created mummification as well as surgery. They built the pyramids. CONFLICT Hitties invaded and conquered during the Middle Egypt Time Period. Nubians then others invaded during The New Egypt Time Period. Suffered frequent rebellions during The middle Egypt Time Period. ( Nubians to Right )
