2. What is it? Travel back in rhyme is a poetry competition open to anyone of primary school age. The editorial team will select poems on the basis of imagination, expression, interpretation of poetry, use of language and description.

3. What do I need to do? The poems should be based on a historical theme. You can use any type of poetic form. You should handwrite or type your poem on an A4 piece of paper. Poems should be no longer than 30 lines.

4. What could I win? Every pupil entrant will receive a stylish Travel Back in Rhyme bookmark Pupils chosen for publication will receive a certificate of merit to acknowledge their achievement. These successful pupils will be showcased alongside other selected pupils from schools within their region in a special anthology.

5. Entries You are only allowed one entry per person. Entries should be with Miss Pearce by half-term with a completed pupil entry form.
