3. How can Diversity be a GOOD thing?  In school…  Outside of school…  In a job…

4. How diverse is our Careers class?  You will answer twenty questions about yourself.  After answering the questions, compare your answers with someone sitting next to you.  Calculate how many answers you have in common, and be prepared to discuss why you think this happened.

7. Nick Vujicic  We’ve seen what happens when people choose to hate diversity (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas).  Today and tomorrow, we will view the unique biography of Nick Vujicic and see what can happen when someone chooses to embrace and celebrate diversity.

8. Diversity “Billboard” Projects  After viewing the biography of Nick Vujicic, we will begin working on our unit projects.  For our Diversity Unit, you will create a “Diversity Billboard” advertising and celebrating the concept of diversity.  You may use examples from real life or from the videos we have seen in class to create your billboard.

9. What is a billboard?  If you’ve ever driven down the highway, you’ve probably seen a billboard. Billboards are HUGE signs, often advertising a product or service.

10. Diversity Billboard Projects  Your billboard will include:  A definition of diversity (what is diversity?)  Examples of diversity (examples can come from personal experiences or from the videos seen in class)  Reasons why we should celebrate diversity (why is diversity a good thing?)
