6.  Founded in 1988 as Homeless Haven, Inc.  Knows that hungry kids are not good students  Operates Hot Meals & Homework, a project to help raise awareness of the problem – and a few grades  Works with area restaurants, including Coastal Catering, HK on the Bay, and the Westminster- Canterbury retirement center in Virginia Beach

7.  Serves 30-35 kids four nights a week  Meals are served to the entire family of kids being tutored  Improves the academics of the children participating  Provides a support system and a positive social environment  Gave us a Wish List for a family in need

8. We met :  at school in class and selected our charity  at Hailey’s house and brainstormed ideas to make money  at Bella’s house and made posters and signs  at Gregory’s house to recruit customers  at Gregory’s house and worked on our presentation  to go to Target  to deliver our gifts

13.  Neighborhood kids wanted to help rake  Our families challenged us by matching what we earned on some jobs  We received a company match  We collected $550  And then we went to Target
