1. Questions to be addressed by the „Architecture“ How does the architecture and the deliverables contribute to the mission of CEFACT? Who is the audience of the architecture and of the CEFACT end products? What is the relationship with other SDOs? Which different views of inter-operability do exist? What do we mean by re-use? What are the main principles – such as syntax-neutrality - to be respected by an architecture? Which technologies do we use for which purpose? How do the CEFACT functions (technical specifications) fit together and how do they support the CEFACT deliverables? What are the CEFACT deliverables and their interdependencies?

2. Critical success factors Participation of all PGs. Consistency with existing architecture documents (such as the UCM architecture) Buy-in on the to-be architecture from the recognized CEFACT stakeholders – it has to speak their language Must consider an as-is and a to-be architecture
