Our K-W-L What we Know about bugs They have wings. They have more than two legs. They sting or bite sometimes. What we Wonder about bugs Are spiders bugs? Are all bugs harmful? How do bugs help us? What are some bugs in Louisiana? How does a butterfly begin life? What we Learned about bugs

To answer our Wonder questions we need to…. Research to find out the difference between insects and arachnids. Collect specimen from our homes (or school). Observe and record data as we watch caterpillars change to butterflies. Collect our data carefully Make graphs and models to help display our work Compare our results with others Draw conclusions based on our experiments and research

Why are insects important to us? Could humans and animals live without insects?
