Probably… – Intonation goes down – Often used with きっと、たぶん、おそらく etc Aren’t you? Isn’t it? Isn’t he? – Intonation goes up – Seeking confirmation – Am I right or am I right? Right? Wondering – Intonation stays nuetral (methinks) – Often used with の~か, question words – Similar to かしら、かな

Not uncommon, especially in rhetorical questions, to put a の before だろう

Probably It’s probably going to rain sharks tomorrow. My mom is probably at home, making cookies. (You’re jealous, aren’t you?) Vember’s new Ukalele must’ve been really expensive. I wonder where he got it? Miracle probably got that doll in Japan. Maggie’s probably going to become a sushi doctor. She looks like a doctor, and she likes sushi.

Isn’t it? Ahliya said she was going to the moon, didn’t she? That’s why she’s not here! Aren’t you tired? You just did 100 push ups! Aren’t you cold? It’s 1 degree and you’re not wearing a coat! That’s a hamburger, right? Why does it look like a basketball? I’m sorry guys. The warm-up is kinda over-small, isn’t it? “Clarisse, you’re coming on the Japan trip too, right?” You got it, right? This is it, right? Isn’t that right? That’s a lie, right?

I Wonder I wonder who that lady is. She’s too pretty! I wonder where Jessica is. She isn’t here with us. “I wonder what’s inside this present?” said Barry. “I wonder why the sky is blue…maybe it’s because we are living inside a blue-eyed giant…” thought Collin “I wonder how they put the cream inside donuts?” said Jaden, starting to eat said donut.

Note! だろう is not used for yourself. If you want to wonder about your own future, use
