3. The Physics Definition…. An object is in motion when ITS DISTANCE FROM ANOTHER OBJECT IS CHANGING. You must use an object to compare it to: called the reference point.

6. Describing and Measuring Motion We can describe motion by the DISTANCE CHANGED FROM A REFERENCE POINT. We can also determine an object’s SPEED.
