Spanish As students learn about the Spanish language and cultures, and the history and geography of various Spanish-speaking countries, they will be inspired to reflect upon the uniqueness of each individual, the existence of individual and cultural differences, the importance for respect for diversity, and the significance of showing consideration for the environment. As they become ready, the students will feel free to express themselves at their own pace and share their ideas with one another in the Spanish language on a myriad of authentic subjects.

5. Physical Education In Physical Education, the truly physically educated student will have acquired both the competencies applicable to any lifetime activity and a desire to retain the healthy feeling associated with fitness and exercise. Students will be motivated to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle over a lifetime, in an ever-changing world.

6. Visual Arts In Art Education, introducing students to the cultural arts from around the world will help increase tolerance and acceptance of others by broadening students’ perspectives. In presenting art as a cultural instrument, students will actively build their knowledge of that culture as they fashion their own creations. Students will come to appreciate how visual art, dance, music, writing and drama have played influential roles in society, as they learn about artists from around the globe who use the arts to express their political views, argue for social justice and human rights, present the voices and experiences of people, who may not have a voice, and bring to recognition the struggle of humanity to be self-determined and free.
