General Information *School Hours : 8:30 – 3:00 ~ Students are tardy after 8:30 *Lunch: 11:26 – 12:06 *Specials: specials calendar will be posted on website. Mon. will be Day 2 ~ music We have a 6 day rotation: PE, music, library, PE, music, computer lab Homework: *sent home every Monday in homework binder, to be returned Friday Reading: Every child should read at least 15 minutes per night Reading group assignments or book of choice

Classroom Policies Community agreements and classroom expectations are posted in the classroom: *Mutual Respect *Attentive Listening *No put downs/use appreciations *The Right to Participate/The Right to Pass Students are expected to always do their best! *Students will bring home a weekly report on Fridays, to be signed and returned on Mondays. *Ryan has a school-wide misconduct ticket for serious infractions

Assessments *DIBELS = Dynamic Indicator of Basic Early Literacy Skills *Used for determining basic reading ability and to diagnose problem areas given 3 times each year. *District quarterly benchmark tests for reading and math *Classroom assessments – teacher created tests/quizzes, individual and group work, participation, observation, along with other activities

Grading/Report Cards Report card/Grading procedures available on the CUSD website *MS = Meets the Standard *Corresponds to an A or B, 80 – 100% *P = Progressing *Corresponds to a C, 70 -79% *AC = Area of Concern *Corresponds to a D or F, *69% or less
