3 Natural Resources Mining accounts for about 14% of Alaska’s gross state product. Oil and gas are the state’s most valuable mining products. gold surpassed sand and gravel are the 2 nd most popular. Coal, antimony, mercury, platinum, tin, tungsten, lead, jade, and soapstone are also some of Alaska’s natural resources.

6 Geography The Last Frontier- is called the Great Land by its Aleut natives, and Alaska is the land of great extremes. The nations largest state is Alaska, and it has both the largest mountain and the largest glacier in North America. Its volcano chain is the longest in the world. Alaska offers a richness and diversity. the land itself ranges from lush rainforest to treeless Arctic plain, from its rugged landscape rise fuming volcanoes, glistening glaciers, and lofty mountain peaks.

9 Animals Alaska's wild life is as diverse as its land. Giant brown bears fish the streams for salmon, and herds of caribou roam the mountains and plains. Along coastal waterways are regal bald eagles and snub nose puffins, fur seals, penguins, and killer whales.

10 License plates On the license plates there is the flag of Alaska to represent Alaska. Then at the bottom of the license plate it will say what part of Alaska you are from because Alaska is very very BIG.

Then at the very top it has the state “Alaska” and a date, the date is the day Alaska was part of U.S.A.
