4 Grade 11 (158 students) October/November (90 minute block) Science Classes – Completed Career Cluster Activity –Reviewed how to read a transcript –Recorded previous & current classes on Naviance survey –Chose their career cluster & post secondary option on Naviance survey –Chose senior classes to align with career and post secondary goals

5 0% of students had recorded career and post secondary goals on Naviance 44% (158/353) Juniors recorded career and post secondary goals on Naviance 353 includes: - 213 traditional - 101 IB Students - 39 Center Program students

11  Students intentionally chose their senior year classes based on their personal post secondary goals.  Fewer Schedule changes occurred Fall 2009 (informal data collection) due to alignment of senior year goals with post secondary goals

12  Include and follow up with George IB students  Continue to use Naviance for Post Secondary Planning  Build pre and post tests in Naviance to capture improvement in attitude, knowledge, and skills  Intentionally target 4 year colleges with programs in Health Sciences and Arts/AV/Communications to visit GW.

13 The school counseling program is contributing in a meaningful way to the post secondary planning of all students. Thank you for your support of the school counseling program.
