5 St. Andrew’s High School The UCAS Form The Role of the Tutor  St. Andrew’s High School has 40+ teachers (UCAS Tutors) who volunteer to help UCAS Applicants  UCAS Tutors offer assistance with Personal Statements  Tutor writes the final Reference

6 St. Andrew’s High School School Involvement  Make sure you become involved in school projects, become a Prefect, a Buddy, etc  In S6, consider the Working with Others course

8 St. Andrew’s High School Accuracy in the Personal Statement  Be very careful about spelling and grammar  Statement must be own work  Prepare the Statement on a word document then copy and paste onto the Application Form

9 St. Andrew’s High School The Importance of Deadlines  High Tariff course applications must have completed all of form by beg Oct. Pre application tests must be completed.  Begin working on the Application soon after log-in details are given – Mid-September  The earlier the Application is completed, the more help can be given by the UCAS Tutors  Deadline for completed form – Mid/End – November
