How we used modern technology in Anita Evaluation Question 4

Research In the research stage of our project, we took strong advantage of the wealth of information available over the internet. This was especially useful to us, due to the specific religious nature of our idea. An example being a page at www.al-islam.org/a-code-of-ethics-for-muslim-men-and-women/4 which we used to find out what rules apply to women in the Muslim faith.www.al-islam.org/a-code-of-ethics-for-muslim-men-and-women/4 We additionally relied pretty heavily on the website YouTube, from which we were able to watch various trailers, which helped us get a clear idea of our own. The film site IMDB was of great use to the group, since it catalogued all kinds of films which are relevent and similar in theme and genre to ours. By looking through, we could get an idea of the market for the film. To communicate with each other we made use of our college, and personal Email accounts, as well as texting each other on our mobile phones. The Email accounts came in particularly useful, die to the ability to attach files such as images or documents.

Production and Editing The production of our piece made use of a lot of physical digital technology, such as the camera’s (although we did record our film onto videotapes) and the microphones. This was largely extended into the post production, where software was employed in the editing and capturing of our groups footage. For this we trusted Adobe Premier Pro to be our comprehensive editing package. The software was certainly comprehensive enough and yet was easy enough to understand, especially since I already had some experience using it. We also took advantage of some websites during the editing of the piece, notably dafont.com for the titles, and freemusicforvideos.com and incomputech.com for the backing soundtrack.dafont.comfreemusicforvideos.comincomputech.com

Print Artefacts For the print artefacts, our main port of call was Adobe Photoshop, since this was readily available to us at college, and was powerful and substantial enough for our needs. To touch up the images, and make them look a little more attractive, I also employed a small, free program called PhotoScape.
