2. For the last several weeks, I have been doing some research on a gaming tournament for our fundraising event. I think this would be most popular for us as previous tournaments have been a great success. Here are some reasons that the fundraising event would be most successful: It’s a fun day out Its different to most fundraising event Revolutionary Competition Simple Brings friends together Introduction To make sure that it would be successful, I did some research into the fundraising event. 3. Brainstorm Before I started my research I did this mind map so I could see what I would need to specify in my fundraising event.

4. Primary Research I conducted a survey to find out if people would actually want to come, the results were successful showing that the majority would like to come.

5. Primary Research (2) Here are a few of the results that I got when I finished my questionnaire. I asked 27 people from my ICT group which was a reasonable amount for a small sample. The preferred price for the fundraising event was £2 which was reasonably sensible, although in second place, people would not mind paying £5 or more. So already I am making money just on the entrance fee. From looking at the pie chart, you can see that most people would prefer to spend 3 to 4 hours at the event. The weekend was the most popular choice to run the tournament as 14 people chose it, that’s over half of the sample.

6. Money Matters To see if my fundraising event was going to be successful, I made a financial model which showed me how much money I would make; it showed me how much money I would make with the number of customers who would attend the event.
