Metabolic typing of aerobic isolates Screening for: Oil utilisation as unique carbon source Catechol utilization as unique carbon source Esterase activity on long chain satured fatty acids (Tween60) Esterase activity on long chain insatured fatty acids (tryoleine) Production of polysaccarides (acetone precipitation) Antibacterial activity

Metabolic typing of aerobic isolates Strains exhibiting strong activity:
4
Screening of aerobic isolates for bioconversions Several strains belonging to different phylogenetic groups and isolated from different basins have been tested for biotransformations Isolates have been screened for hydrolysis and/or reduction of a family of test molecules harbouring different substitutions, which are intermediate of drugs biosynthesis
5
Growing cultures have been inoculated with test molecule and its reduction/hydrolysis products have been extracted and visualized by TLC Screening of aerobic isolates for bioconversions standard Unmodified molecule Modified products
6
Preliminary screening results: GC, NMR characterisation of bioconversion products Screening for stereoselective reactions
