Reduced Hours July 1 t Necessary Due To: Continued over-enrollment (active participants vs. authorized slots for July 1, 2012) Continued over-enrollment (active participants vs. authorized slots for July 1, 2012) t You’ve worked hard this year; yet you are not quite there yet t Your number of authorized slots for the 3 month grant will be almost the same as your current PY2011 Sponsor Agreement Per DOL, terminating participant due to lack of grant funds is NOT allowed Per DOL, terminating participant due to lack of grant funds is NOT allowed

Reduced Hours July 1 t Start Monday, July 2 nd to spend 3 month PY12 PWFB grant funds (July 1 – September 30, 2012) without overspending t Notify participants and host agency supervisors (via letters and/or meetings) t Like last year, per DOL, participant staff hours will need to be reduced proportionally

Participant Staff Hours Per DOL, for subgrantees that are offering reduced hours (less than 20 per week), participant staff hours must be reduced in proportion to the regular hours the rest of your participants are working. t t If your participants are working 18 hours per week, the maximum that each participant staff can work is up to 27 hours per week t t If your participants are working 16 hours per week, the maximum that each participant staff can work is up to 24 hours per week t t If your participants are working 14 hours per week, the maximum that each participant staff can work is up to 21 hours per week t t If you participants are working 12 hours per week, the maximum that each participant staff can work up to 18 hours per week

Highlights of 3 Month PPP t Estimated 3 month Participant Wage budget inserted t 3 month PPP automatically includes expected carry-over from your last PY2011 PPP t Still have ability to adjust hours per pay period – 12 hours is the minimum t Access exit activity from PY2011 as you create your 3 month PPP t Number of 3 month authorized positions visible

Key Points to Remember About Your Three Month PY12 PPPs t No enrollment expected for any project less than 20 hours or after the DOL July 15 th enrollment freeze t 12 hours per week minimum floor across SSAI network – to preserve program integrity t Start out at lowest number of hours with hope of being able to increase hours as program year progresses t Remember to include in your PPP “other exits” participants who will be exiting because they are not waiver eligible and will be reaching their 4 year time limit on SCSEP t Early and increased unsubsidized exits may result in you being able to increase hours for participants later in Quarter 1
